victoria market & philip island

before we went to the victoria market, we had breakfast first at the apartment... mak cooked nasi lemak.. ;-) we actually had nasi lemak for 2 days in a row... a quick, easy and fulfilling meal... LOL anyways, we went to the market for souveniers shopping basically but there are also some other stuffs that can be found at the market, for instance clothing, housewares, shoes, vegetables, meat, etc.... its a huge open market... we spent about 4 hours before we head to philip island... the journey took us about 1.5 hours drive..

the philip island is famous for its penguin parade... the penguin found here was said to be the smallest penguin in the world... :-) we can only see the penguin come back to their "home" after sunset... photography were not allowed at the lookout area... :-(

my graduation day in geelong

after 2 years of hardwork, i'm finally graduated from Deakin University Australia in Master of International Business... LOL the ceremony was taken place in Deakin Uni campus in geelong, which is about 1.5hrs drive from melbourne.. we left melbourne and drove to geelong... the weather was sunny but the wind was so cold... since we arrived there early, before my registration at 3.30pm, we manage to have lunch at the restaurant near the pier called fisherman pier restaurant.. the food was nice, but not too much selection.... while i was away for registration, the rest went to the shopping center to kill some time...ish...ish....sempat lagi tu.. :-)

my session starts at 5pm... by the time ceremony ends, its already dark outside...so we only took pictures inside the building.... i was looking for any sign or logo of deakin university but i couldn't find it...damn... :-( then after photo session finished, we drove back to melbourne...before send them off at the apartment, we went to have dinner at the famous nasi briyani bismi restaurant in brunswick, about 20 mins from the city....

the melbourne arts festival

there were many performances, plays and shows during the festival. it was just the matter of who, what & when u want to watch it. the tickets for all the shows were selling fast. i was lucky to able to purchase the ticket for the Lior performance last minute. i'm not sure if lior is known for his talent in asian countries.

Lior is an Australian singer-songwriter. a talented guitarist and vocalist, his sound is defined by the combination of a contemporary roots sound with some Middle Eastern influences. in early 2005, Lior released his debut album, "Autumn Flow". those who never heard of his album, should go and get one. it's worth of listening .
