happy easter

not that i celebrate easter... just to share the celebration of easter here in australia... during easter, all shops will be close for 2 days.. and i mean all.... the only shop open is 7-11!!! whenever near to easter, shops start selling easter stuffs, the significant ones are chocolates... chocolates sold in cute and beautiful eggs and rabbit shapes that symbolize the festival...
so, what is easter? Easter is the oldest and the most important festival of the Christian year, observed in March, April, or May each year to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus from the dead after his death by crucifixion. Rabbits are popular during Easter time because they are a reminder of spring and the new life that is abundant during springtime. They were the favorite animal of the spring goddess Eastre. The Easter bunny has its origin in pre-Christian fertility lore. The Hare and the Rabbit were the most fertile animals known and they served as symbols of the new life during the spring season. while eggs symbolize rebirth and abundant life

XVII Commonwealth Games (15 march - 26 march)

the world's sporting commonwealth games will be taking place in melbourne for 12 days. 4,500 athletes from 71 nations will be competing in 16 sports in 17 venues here in melbourne. tickets has been on sale since last year... some of the popular sports, like aquatics, athletics and gymnastics were all booked out....

mornington peninsula
|

since i've never been to mornington peninsula, so i decided to bring them there.... its about 1.5hrs drive from melbourne.... it was just 4 of us...as riza had to run some errands.... we left melbourne at around 9.30am and reached home around 6pm.....

st kilda art market & brighton

its mommy & babah's 2nd day in melbourne.... they came wif adina who will be studying for masters here.... the weather was fine.... so we brought them to st kilda arts market which is held every sunday at st kilda.... later in the evening drove them to brighton for sightseeing....

farewell gathering before going back melbourne  it was fun....coz this is the only time everyone gets to meet each other since dunno when.....

menu: chicken, beef, lamb, fish, spaghetti, potato salad, corn, nasi goreng, etc....
